Is buying new golf clubs the answer to clearing up my swing faults and improving my golf game?

I do not have any allegiance to any one brand.  I myself use Ping clubs.  This article is not to persuade you to buy any one brand!  I believe it’s what you’re comfortable with and I do recommend trying several brands!

Back to the case I’m making.

Have you ever heard the saying, “it’s not the arrows, it’s the Indian”!   This saying holds very true in golf.  Believe me, I have been down this road myself, many embarrassing moments!’  I have too at one time wanted the quick fix.  Of course, I fell into the same trap.  It’s my clubs, great excuse to go buy more toys, and I did!!  I have several hybrids in my bag and don’t get me wrong they are helpful, but my game only got marginally better.  Buying a million different clubs is not always the most practical thing you can do and it can be quite expensive.  I know that golf club manufactures and infomercials on the clubs that will change your game are quit tempting when you’re frustrated with how you are playing.  But, please do not fall into this temporary fix trap!  What I strongly encourage you to think about is, if you have poor swing mechanics, you will still swing those nice new clubs with the same poor mechanics!  Yes, there is absolutely great technology out there and I strongly encourage you to use it!   This strategy is only a part of the puzzle to help improve your golf game, and it will, but only so much.  My goal with this article is to help guide you on a better path, show you the light!   Again, it’s about process.  You need to look deeper than your golf clubs to permanently improve your game.
